Blanchard Bliss

Finally logged some air time on Sunday in some pretty spectacular conditions at Blanchard Mountain. Winds were SW at about 15mph with cap clouds forming over some of the hills on the islands west of launch as well as above Blanchard and Chuckanut. We took off on the west launch and flew out to the front edge of the clouds, then continued to climb as we headed north. At about 4000' we started to encounter sporadic light snow before topping out at around 4500'. The air was smooth and cold, and we took several long glides across Samish Bay.
It was good to be back in the air again.

Darren - Looks like a pretty magical flight with the diffused sunlight and low clouds. The third picture from the top looks great. Thanks for posting! Cheers,
OB
